In this Institute, the faculty of Science has been opened in the year 1996 with the following subjects � Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics with one section in each stream viz. Biology and Maths with 60 students. However, the number of seats were increased as per the requirements of the students and now presently the institute caters to 90 seats in each Streams. Physical education was introduced as a full subject in the faculty of Science in 2010. Nine seats were further added in the EWS category. The laboratory is well-equipped to carry out most of the experiments at UG level. Two lab Assistants are presently working in the Departments of Chemistry and Zoology. One seat of Faculty per department has been sanctioned by the government of Uttar Pradesh. The faculties use ICT to make teaching learning more effective. The institute has students from rural, urban, English and Hindi medium cultures, therefore, the faculty maintains a good balance in teaching as well as has an empathetic attitude towards the students. The faculties also carry out many activities like quiz, debate, speech, PowerPoint presentation to develop the students holistically. Field trips to scientific institutes like CDRI and wildlife conservation to Katarnia Ghat were also organised to develop an overview in the students. Flower exhibition and tree plantation is carried out to develop the eco-friendly attitude among the students. Teachers also mentor the students in case of any psychological problems and we have provision for remedial classes to cater to the needs of slow learners, and activities of PowerPoint presentation develop fast learners. On the whole faculty of science performs all the duties to develop the students to their full potential.
